Young people - you have an important role in this ministry
There is a shortage of caregivers in America. We believe young people can have a huge impact in this gap. Young people bring energy, possibility and hope.
Saint Joseph welcomes people from colleges, nursing programs, and all walks of life who feel called to serve. Our missionaries provide practical care and meaningful companionship—from cooking and driving together to staying connected in the community.
Missionaries receive training and mentorship, serve alongside a supportive team, and are compensated for their time. We share the load, and our leaders will never ask you to do something they aren't willing to do themselves.
Above all, our work is grounded in worship. We believe that serving others has the power to deepen our own lives and faith.
"Unless a grain of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains just a grain of wheat." - John 12:25

Quality of life is about more than meeting basic needs. It depends on physical, mental, emotional, relational and spiritual health. Our volunteers help our clients live a full life at home by assisting with daily activities, offering companionship, and finding creative ways to enrich their days.
The ways to serve are simple, and simple goes a long way.
• Visiting our clients • Taking them on a walk • Crafting or coloring together • Making something together • Cooking and sharing a nourishing meal • Helping them find meaningful work • There are endless ways to help

Every dollar donated goes directly to improving our clients' and caregivers' quality of life.
We run on an extremely low overhead model. Donations let us expand access to home care for families who cannot afford it, pay above-industry-standard wages to honor the caregivers hard work, and provide meaningful activities and gifts. Please email us if you have any questions about this!
